North Valley, also known as North Albuquerque, refers to a census-designated place east of the Rio Grande and west of Edith Boulevard. Formerly farmland and ranchland, North Valley is now a fast-growing area. The southern part of the North Valley closest to downtown Albuquerque is sometimes called the Near North Valley. North Valley's population in the 2010 census was 11,333.
