Rich in railroad and manufacturing history, Fullerton is named after James W. Fuller, Jr. who owned railroad car wheel factories and kept the town full of industry.
Essentially, Fullerton is a neighborhood of the Whitehall Township, but it is officially deemed a census-designated place, or CDP for short. (This is about the same as referring to Snooki as an author and reality television personality instead of a celebrity, but without the negativity.) Located in Lehigh County and bordered on the east by the Lehigh River, this area has a long history typical of the northeast. Fullerton received its current name in 1895, and the slightly over three-and-a-half square miles have answered to that name ever since. View Fullerton City Guide
