Torrington City is part of Goshen County and is located on the southeastern side of the Wyoming. It has 4.62 square miles of area, all of which is land with no water area. It has had a population growth of over 12 percent since 2000, and is currently home to more than 6,500 people. Today, this city has experienced great economic growth, especially in agriculture. Though it has preserved many of its historic establishments, new residential and commercial buildings have been constructed and the development of the city continues until the present day.

Despite Torrington being mostly an agricultural city, you will find that it has a rich cultural diversity as well. To learn more about its rich history, you can visit the Homesteader Museum to get a glimpse of the life in the 1880s. For entertainment, drop by at the Wyoming Theatre and Goshen Community Theatre. You can also go for a picnic or other outdoor activity at any of Torrington's five parks. This place is also known as a paradise for bird hunters.
