Fishersville, Virginia, is a small, Southern town just outside of the bigger city of Waynesboro. The town is home to only about 7,500 people, so it's a great way to experience the benefits of small-town, country living with easy access to bigger city amenities nearby. Fishersville is a great place to live, not only because it's quiet and residential, but also it has a great range of housing in a sweep of different prices. Most of the properties tend to congregate along either Long Meadow Road, Barren Ridge Road, or Jefferson Highway. You'll be a Virginian in Fishersville, but you might feel like a Parisian; you can pick up some local, award-winning wine, head out for a picnic in Shenandoah National Park, maybe head down to nearby Charlottesville to catch one of the many up and coming musicians playing their trade (Dave Matthews got his start in Charlottesville!). If you like spending time outside and being active, there are numerous that valleys surround Fishersville. You can take a hike down one of them-- or spend time in nearby Shenandoah Lake Recreation Area.
