Four Corners, otherwise known as Frog Hollow, was a tiny speck on the landscape on the Pease River and had only a gas station, a general mercantile store, a gin house and an icehouse. As the town was regularly flooded out after heavy rains, the construction for State Highway 70 bypassed Four Corners, so it was a sleepy town at first but not anymore! Here's a little more info about the different neighborhoods in town.

Four Corners Visitor Center: The Four Corners is one of the most unique landmarks in the world! This is the only place in the United States where four states intersect - Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. Visitors can see the four states laid out at the visitor's center where the four states meet. The Navajo venders sell hand-made jewelry and crafts and welcome all visitors.

Ice Barn: This is the favorite place for school kids and kids of all ages. The snow cone stand brings back memories of the past but is also the picture of what is to come. You'll have a good chance of finding an apartment for rent around these parts. Of course this is great for the people living here as they no longer have to do their grocery shopping in Houston or Rosenberg. They now have the pleasure of local shops. Sure cuts down on the gas costs!

Toronto Street: This is a popular area and is home to the Four Corners Brewing Co. You can take inexpensive tours here and they are open every day except Mondays and Tuesdays. The area is a great place to look for condos for rent and studio apartments. The Four Corners Recreation Center includes a community center with two pavilions and playground equipment. A regulation soccer and softball field as well as mile of walking track and a volleyball court makes after-hour life very pleasant.

Woodbridge: Woodbridge is a nice neighborhood with about 6,000 people, making it one of the largest neighborhoods in Four Corners. It's fairly crowded compared to others nearby, and offers a lot in the way of nice rental properties! Try some of the great restaurants here, like Thai Siam or Nick's Italian Restaurant.

A Terrific Place to Live

The first impression when walking or driving around a new neighborhood stays with one and is the deciding factor when considering renting or purchasing a home. The Four Corners welcomes all people and the low crime rates and the deep sense of community make this a favorite choice when moving here.

The jobs are mainly in the sales / management areas with a large community of IT specialists. People here have good values and this is reflected in the social life, job choices and generally the look and 'feel' of the neighborhood.

Hold Onto Your Hats

The weather is generally in the high 80's with thunder storms, humidity and tornados. These are higher than the Texas average with an historical 85 being recorded with a magnitude of 2 and above. However, as with most places in the world, Four Corners is not unique in their occurrence of hail storms, sand storms and just about every type of extreme weather one can come across. Just makes life here that much more interesting.
