The park also includes a picnic area and plenty of walking trails. Locals also enjoy traveling down to the Wildlife Safari in Winston, which gives you a chance to see dozens of animals, such as lions, bears, and giraffes, up close. Included within Green is the Green Oaks County Parks that includes a picnic area with BBQ grills, a disc golf course, a beautiful gazebo, playground and walking trails. This gives people of the local area a place to go and enjoy the outdoors. There are also two public elementary schools in Green, including Green Elementary School and Sunnyslope Elementary School, along with one private school, Umpqua Valley Christian School. Older student attend the junior and high schools located in Roseburg. There are also numerous restaurants, breweries, bars, and wineries in and around Green.
