Where to Live in Jackson

While your lifestyle may dictate what kind of rental property you're looking for, you're sure to find some great apartments for rent in Jackson. A reasonable cost of living and low crime rate will keep you feeling safe and comfortable in your new digs. The Millersville / Hartle Ford neighborhood has rent prices slightly above the Missouri average. You can find some nice studio apartments for rent that you can choose from, and you shouldn't have to look terribly hard. Vacancy rates here are about the national average.

TheOak Ridge / Pocahontas neighborhood's prices are a little lower, and the higher-than-average vacancy rate means you'll have a pretty easy time finding yourself a nice duplex or studio apartment for rent. Population density is pretty low here, too, so stretch out and enjoy the space.

For the best place to find one or two bedroom apartments, check out the City Center. Rent prices are lower than the national average in this neighborhood, but the vacancy rate is, too. If you want to move into one of these suburban spaces, you're going to need to plan accordingly by starting your search early and having all your paperwork in order.

TheNorth High Street / West Independence street neighborhood has a more expensive rental rate from month to month, but you'll still pay less here than the national average. Vacancies are on the high side, so you can have fun hunting for the apartment of your dreams. If you're claustrophobic, however, don't move to this neighborhood, because it's pretty crowded!

The cost of living in these neighborhoods is pretty attractive, but the downside is that you _will _need your car. Everything is pretty close, though, so you won't be in it for long. Now that you've taken a trip around town to find your dream home, you can scope out your surroundings for some weekend fun.
