Chicago is only a 30-minute drive east along I-290, so quick trips into the city are easily accomplished. Serving as the metro gateway also means having easy access via a network of expressways to the entire Chicago area. So if you plan to commute, you couldn't have picked a better place to do it from.

Roosevelt Rd. / S. Wolf Rd.: If you are thinking of renting an apartment in Hillside and you want easy access to Hwy 12, I-294, and I-88, this location is ideal. This suburban neighborhood has a peaceful vibe and clean streets, as well as a few cemeteries. By a few, we mean four. That's right, the low levels of noise and light pollution come from the fact that quite a bit of land has been reserved for the deceased. So, if you're squeamish about that and can't see past the beautifully cared for properties, you might choose another area.
