Did you know that Waverly, Iowa is the very real birthplace of Hawkeye (of Avengers fame)?

Waverly, Iowa, is located alongside the beautiful Cedar River, and its past is indeed rich and colorful. Its original inhabitants were Winnebago Native Americans, and it was first settled by whites in the 1850s. A gentleman named Frederick Cretzmeyer is purported to be the first permanent settler in the area. Then, in the spring of 1853 William Patterson Harmon arrived in the locale with the intent of establishing a town and a saw mill. Harmon purchased most of what is now Waverly from the United States Government for $1.25 per acre, and incorporated it as a town on April 25, 1859, per the State of Iowa Library. See more

What to keep in mind when looking for pet friendly apartments in Waverly, IA

Renting pet-friendly apartments in Waverly should offer peace of mind and convenience for our furry friends. It’s crucial to find an apartment that’ll work for both you and your pet. Before signing a pet-friendly apartment, take your time to study the layout and ask plenty of questions.

Some pet-friendly apartments in Waverly may request a pet deposit or only accept certain dog breeds. You should also consider if the floors are hardwood or carpeted. Hardwood may be easier to clean-up fur and a mess but could mean your neighbors below hear the tapping of your dog running past. An outdoor balcony can also be ideal for a pet who needs some fresh air.

Consider the neighborhood of any pet-friendly apartments in Waverly. Are they near a dog park or a vet? You should also research the rates of dog walkers in your area. It may be less expensive to move to a nearby neighborhood with a lower pet deposit, a better layout for your pet, and cheaper services.
