Roseburg North is 911 miles north of San Diego and 462 miles south of Blaine, WA. Those are the two towns on the U.S. west coast at the south end and north end, respectively, of Interstate-5. Why is that important? It's not, really, but it's a fun fact, right?
Roseburg North (shouldn't someone have just called it North Roseburg?) is a census designated place, which is just a spiffy way of saying it doesn't have a town government, located just north of Roseburg in Douglas County, Oregon

Roseburg North (shouldn't someone have just called it North Roseburg?) is a census designated place, which is just a spiffy way of saying it doesn't have a town government, located just north of Roseburg in Douglas County, Oregon. That's in the southern half of the western side of the state (the side where it rains a lot), for the uninitiated. There are about 6,000 people living in Roseburg North proper, although the City of Roseburg's population is just more than than 21,000. The North Little River rolls right past town, and Roseburg North is close to Diamond Lake, Loon Lake, the Umpqua National Forest, but that's just the beginning of what and where you can explore around this quaint little Oregon town. Not to mention you can start, or continue, your higher education here by attending classes at Umpqua Community College.
Moving to Roseburg North
If moving day falls anytime between Halloween and the Fourth of July it's a good idea to wear some rain gear on moving day, most importantly a coat or jacket and waterproof boots or shoes. That's the time of year when it rains the most in Oregon. Not every day, and not close to every day, but it feels like it sometimes. Better yet, rather than getting wet and tired yourself, hire some local movers. Let them unpack the truck and get you into your new rental home in Roseburg North. It's an even better idea if you rent an apartment that's not on the ground floor. Who likes lugging a couch up a flight or two (or three) of stairs, anyway?
Also remember to get your vehicle registered, get new license plates and get an Oregon driver's license within 30 days of moving to Roseburg North because that's what Oregon law requires. Additionally, many places to rent in Roseburg North will want to conduct credit and background checks on you before you move into your new rental property. So make sure you have your current driver's license, state ID or passport, and social security number ready when you fill out your rental application. Speaking of rental applications, it's a good idea to put together a list of housing for rent you are interested in viewing and ask the property manager, landlord or individual owners of each one if they charge an application fee. These are often $50-$75, so do your homework and make sure when you are considering duplexes for rent, or apartments for rent, that you really like the rental itself and the location because you don't want to end up spending a bunch of money on rental fees.
