Though Catoosa is a small sized city, there is still enough there to keep folks busy, either in the town or not far away. The Blue Whale of Catoosa just off State Highway 66, which was previously the iconic Route 66, is perhaps not quite what it would at first seem. In effect, it has now become a further icon that is keenly related to the old Route 66, where folks will stop off on their long drive, have a picnic, enjoy their surroundings, and marvel at this slightly odd roadside attraction. Yes, it is a blue colored whale, however, it's constructed from iron ore and cement. For those who enjoy a flutter, the Cherokee Casino on 193rd Street, offers progressive jackpots, video slots, blackjack, bingo, and all things casino.
