In effect, it has now become a further icon that is keenly related to the old Route 66, where folks will stop off on their long drive, have a picnic, enjoy their surroundings, and marvel at this slightly odd roadside attraction. Yes, it is a blue colored whale, however, it's constructed from iron ore and cement.
