Rodeo, California, was named after the cattle herding excursions that would run through the territory in the late 1800's. Allegedly, the animal rights group PETA offered to provide a load of veggie burgers worth $20,000 to Rodeo schools in 2003, if the city changed its name to something the group considered to be less offensive.
Nestled in the San Francisco Bay Area, between San Francisco and the state capital, Sacramento, sits the warm, welcoming community of Rodeo. Next door to Hercules and directly across the water from Benicia and Vallejo, this small city, home to approximately 11,000 people is an ideal spot to work, play, and live a fun filled California lifestyle. It's like everything you've seen in the movies, but way less expensive. View Rodeo City Guide
