It's set directly on Interstate 5, about two hours north of the State Capitol Sacramento. It's a perfect spot for travelers to Northern California. On Corning Road, you'll find all kinds of excellent restaurants. The Flying Boat is one of the local favorites and so is the Rancho Grande. Many people also love the Hometown Caf̩ and Casa Ramos Mexican Restaurant! Further down south is the Iron Skillet Restaurant on South Avenue. The Corning Municipal Airport is located at the northernmost point of Corning and offers local flight to connecting cities.

Corning is a small town, but it does have a few distinct neighborhoods within it. Here's a little more info about each of them!
City Center: Route 5 runs right through this area so it's convenient if you need to hop on the highway! It's also home to the Sevillano Links Golf Course. There's a good mix of owners and renters here.
Richfield: Here is where you'll find the Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area and Jewett Creek Farms! There's a pretty high vacancy rate here but not too many rental properties.
Fluornoy / Paskenta: This neighborhood is at the foot of Mt. Linn and near the beautiful Black Butte Lake. It's a very remote and rural area and one of the pricier places in town.
Living in Corning
The city of Corning goes out of its way to make sure that residents are happy and that life is convenient! You'll find that there's just an ease of life in this city that's hard to come by. There's things like a Safeway Grocery and the infamous Love's Travel Stop, where you can stop for gas and shop at the well-known store They're big on agriculture here and you'll find that crops are super important to the community. The industry is centered around olives, olive oil, prunes, walnuts and almonds.
The city has a number of beautiful city parks. Estil C. Clark Park is located on the southeast side of town and makes a great place to relax and enjoy the California sunshine. Northside Park at Tehama and 6th Street is also one of the local favorites! If you're in the mood for a frosty beer, check out the House of Brews on 4th Street and Yolo -- it's a popular happy hour destination.
The city hosts a number of events throughout the year to keep residents happy! The Olive Festival in August is one of the most popular -- it's a chance to mingle with some of your neighbors and sample the locally produced olives and olive oil! There's also a Spring Bloom festival to celebrate the coming of Spring and the newly blooming flowers. In May, the community hosts the May Madness Car Show for residents to show off their slick automobiles and in Winter the Hometown Christmas Festival gives everyone a chance to celebrate the snowy season, even though it's still warm and sunny here in Corning!
