Sommerset West/Elmonica South offers modern housing with excellent access to major tech employers including Intel campuses. Most rental properties include contemporary features and community amenities like pools and fitness centers. The neighborhood provides exceptional public transit connectivity via the MAX Blue Line to Portland, though the suburban setting means fewer restaurant options within walking distance. Perfect for tech professionals seeking balanced living with straightforward commutes to major Hillsboro employers.
Growing opportunity characterizes Southeast Hillsboro, where this rapidly developing district continues adding new housing options yearly. Modern apartment communities feature amenities like covered parking, fitness centers, and outdoor gathering spaces designed for Oregon's climate. The neighborhood provides excellent access to both Intel campuses and Tualatin Valley Highway connections to Portland, though the newer development lacks the established character and tree canopy of older Hillsboro neighborhoods.
Tech workers flock to Northeast Hillsboro for its winning combination of newer apartments and quick commutes to Intel and other Silicon Forest employers. Community amenities typically include fitness centers and outdoor gathering spaces for social connections. While dining options remain limited (expect chain restaurants rather than boutique eateries), the excellent MAX light rail connections to Portland compensate for local limitations. Perfect for tech professionals prioritizing convenience to work and wanting modern finishes without downtown Portland prices or commute times.
