I have lived at Century University City since right after it opened. Of course, in the beginning being new, it was very nice. Maintenance is very good, very responsive and great to deal with. Always has been. The property over the last few years is not as nice as it was because people who have no respect for themselves or others litter the yard, don't pick up dog poop etc which you will find at any multifamily property. My biggest problem with Century University City is the fact that you CANNOT order anything through the mail and receive it if it doesn't fit in a mailbox. People steal it before you can ever get to the mailroom to pick it up. Management knows and even if you give them a date and time they will not look it up on the cameras to help you prosecute thieves. I have had a set of rocking chairs for my front porch, a 500$ Kitchen Aid Mixer, multiple items of clothing as well as other items disappear from the mail room. NO one cares. Delivery service partners don't care if the carrier said it was delivered. The amenities are nice, there is not enough parking, the buildings are getting worn and not enough preventive maintenance is done to keep them looking good such as painting over places on the walls. There is only one person who cleans all 6 buildings and I use the word clean loosely. The property has changed hands three times since I have been here, the original company Tapestry was great. This new company does not care about the residents they only care about making a dollar and doing the least they can to get it. The apartments are beautiful, the location is good and there is plenty of shopping, eating etc places around. There is crime here like anywhere else. But my main problem is the mail room.
