Fortunately, Birmingham offers very easy access to main thoroughfares like Woodward Ave and nearby highways like I-75 and I-696. So, if you decide to call this place home, be sure to get a car.

Birmingham is suburban - but it's not sleepy. If you want entertainment close to your house, Birmingham might be a great place to choose -- the area is home to the Royal Oak Music Theatre, hosting some of the greatest contemporary musical talents regularly. Also -- the proximity to Detroit is key here. Go into the big city to see the Detroit Institute of Arts, or a show or monvie at one of the many theaters throughout town.
