It is a part of the Quad Cities Metropolitan Area and is only a short distance away from Cedar Rapids - about an hour, as well as Iowa City, and Dubuque. A few local favorites include the Eldridge Golf Course which is also a great spot to play a round or two and grab a nice bite to eat at the caf̩, the expansive Sheridan Meadows Park, and the Crow Creek Wildlife Management Area. There is also a small lake and stream in the middle of the Wildlife Area. Residents can find great shopping opportunities at the North Park Mall and West Kimberly Mall just off Welcome Way, where you'll find both national chains and local merchants.
Eldridge is a great place to experience the glory of all four seasons. Spring and summer here are usually pretty warm, humid, and sunny. Fall is a great time to spot vibrant changing leaves around town, and winter often brings a light dusting of snow to the tops of the historic Eldridge buildings.
