The median rent in Englewood fell by 1.6% over the course of January, and has now decreased by a total of 3.9% over the past 12 months. Englewood’s rent growth over the past year has is similar to the state average (-4.6%) but has fallen below the national average (-1.4%).
If we expand our view to the wider Denver metro area, the median rent is $1,597 meaning that the median price in Englewood ($1,391) is 12.9% lower than the price across the metro as a whole. Metro-wide annual rent growth stands at -4.6%, below the rate of rent growth within just the city.

Apartment List has released Englewood’s results from the third annual Apartment List Renter Satisfaction Survey. This survey, which drew on responses from over 45,000 renters, provides insight on what states and cities must do to meet the needs of 111 million American renters nationwide.

Englewood was one of the places the explorers looked for gold–and they actually found some there, at a site called the Little Dry Creek. In 1858 the little town of Englewood sprung up nearby. Like the rest of the metro Denver area, people are still drawn to it today, even if there’s not any actual gold to be found there anymore.
