Moving to Forest Hill

Are you planning to move to Forest Hill? You'll probably want to rent an apartment quickly since it's such a desirable place to live! First things first: Prepare a rental application. You'll need one of these whether you're considering house rentals or studio apartments for rent. Gather up financial documents like tax returns, bank statements, and pay stubs, and be ready for your potential landlord to run a credit check.

There is not a seasonal aspect to rentals in Forest Hill, but consider planning your search for apartments for the winter; in the summer, Texas can be sweltering hot!

Neighborhoods in Forest Hill

It doesn't make sense to move anywhere without doing some research about the area first. After all, you could find the home of your dreams, but when you get there you could find out that you hate the way the area feels or that it's inconveniently located from everything you need to get to. If you want to know more about some neighborhoods in Forest Hill before you start your moving process, check out the list below. This information could help save you time and energy on your housing search!

College Oaks Forest Hill: College Oaks Forest Hill is a small residential area in town. Its borders are Shamrock Lane to the north, Wichita Street to the west, Forest Hill Drive to the east, and I-820 to the south. This is a great area if you commute because it's on a main road, which makes transportation easy, whether you use public transportation or have a car. This is a place that has houses with yards, so if you're looking for studio apartments for rent or the like, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Forest Wood: Forest Wood is a small residential street in the shape of a horseshoe, just south of Mansfield Highway in Forest Hill. Expect Forest Wood to be like any other suburban Texas street, but it has a bunch of restaurants and businesses nearby, which makes it an especially convenient place to live.

Heritage Heights: Heritage Heights is one of the biggest neighborhoods in Forest Hill. Rectangular in shape, the neighborhood has a lot of small residential streets and nice houses. Want a bustling high-rise apartment complex? This isn't the 'hood for you.

Living in Forest Hill

Looking to find the perfect place to rest your head before your day at work or play in Fort Worth or Dallas? Then Forest Hill is a good place for you to consider. If you end up living there, you'll be in the company of a good 12,300 others, and you'll probably enjoy the suburban amenities of this tiny little enclave.

In the 1900s, a streetcar operated in Forest Hill taking people into Forth Worth on the regular. Today, it pays to have a car, then you can commute on your own schedule. If you don't have a car, fret not: You can still get into the city. There are several bus lines that will get you there, and if you're willing to take an hour to travel (as opposed to a 10-minute drive), then that's a great option for you.

You don't have to leave Forest Hill, though, to be entertained. If you like spending time outside, you can do it in the scenic Griggs Park, Anglin Park, or John Frank Agee Park. If you like dining out, you can also do that in Forest Hill. Barbecue is king here, of course; residents love Off the Bone Barbecue, a place that serves up Texas BBQ that tastes as good as it smells.
