Eggertsville, NY is one of those small living enclaves with a tag that seems like it begs for immediate medical attention. At first blush, with an official handle like "CDP" (census-designated place) that's issued by the United States (U.S.) Census Bureau for little hamlets like this one, its designation sounds more like a bump in the road or a map maker's forgotten afterthought rather than the functional, laid-back neck-of-the-woods this neat little burg actually is.
