Devils Lake is a nice sized little town located in Ramsey County, North Dakota, to the east of Grand Forks. It is located only 75 miles from the Canadian border. The population of this great little hub, which is also the Ramsey County Seat, is about 7,000 residents.

Neighborhoods
If you relocate to Devils Lake, you can plan to be busy because the area is abundant in recreation. You won't have a hard time finding something to do in your down time.
City Center: While small in area, the City Center boasts one of the shortest commute times, many single family homes, and apartment complexes.
Edmore / Starkweather: This is a remote area that's slightly less expensive than most North Dakota neighborhoods. Many residences are historic, built before 1939.

Spend an afternoon following the wildlife and hiking trails as you make your way to the lookout tower at Sully's Hill where you can enjoy the view of the lake for which the lake was named. Learn a little bit about the local history at the Fort Totten historical site. If you are winter enthusiast, you'll enjoy a chance to cross country ski or snowshoe at Grahams Island. In the summer, it's a beautiful place to walk with all kinds of scenery. Fishing is a popular past-time in Devils Lake. Enjoy soft water fishing for most of the year, and when the weather turns colder, ice fishing on two or more feet of frozen water is a popular thing to do in the winter months. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy an excursion to Lake Alice National Wildlife refuge. The Grand Forks Town and Country Club will offer a day out on the golf course while you perfect your game. Living in Devil's Lake means rich history will surround you and the people who live there have an appreciation for it. Fourteen of the city's buildings are listed with the National Register of Historic Places.
There are over 100 different stores and shops to peruse when you are looking for that perfect item. And when you get hungry from all of that shopping, dining out in Devil's Lake is a true treat. Some of the most popular places to eat include The View at Spiritual Lake Casino with a spectacular view of the lake, the Ranch Steakhouse, which is a converted barn that offers top quality steaks, fish and pork chops, and the Paddlewheel Lounge that will fill ya up with the best in steak, ribs, and seafood. If you have the urge to head to a bigger city, Grand Forks is only a 90-minute drive.
Devil's Lake is a perfect spot for a getaway, but it's even nicer if you are lucky enough to secure rental housing and make it your home. In between outings for camping, picnicking, hiking, cross country skiing, jet skiing, boating, or fishing, you might wonder why you didn't move there sooner.
