Although the city only has a population of 13,522 (according to the 2010 census), there's plenty for residents and activities to see and do throughout the year.

An annual Oktoberfest is held over the first two weekends of October and always has the makings of a good time. However, this isn't the only event on the calendar -- you'll also be able to attend other events, including Fasching and Schell's Bock Fest, Bavarian Blast and Riverblast. There are a range of great attractions in the town, such as the 105-foot Hermann Monument, which you can climb for stunning views over the city, or the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, built in German baroque style. The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame is found in New Ulm; Prince and Bob Dylan are among the 100 current members, but a ceremony for new inductees is held yearly on the first Friday of November.
