The city of Mandeville has been around for a long time. Originally settled in 1834 and incorporated in 1840, Mandeville is rich with southern culture, and today is one of the most popular cultural destinations in Louisiana. The city itself is fairly small, just under seven square miles, and has a population of about 11,500 according to the 2010 census figures. Mandeville is also one of the earliest cities to establish a vibrant Jazz culture, which continues to this day.

Downtown Mandeville: Downtown Mandeville is the heart of the city. Rent the right place in Mandeville and you'll be walking distance from traditional southern cuisine that you won't be able to find anywhere else and a nightlife that is surprisingly vibrant for a comparatively small city.

Houltonville: Located on the northwestern part of town, Houltonville is a great place to find an apartment, as there are many units to choose from. You'll also be surrounded by parks, golf courses and trees that are decades old.

Chinchuba: Located in center of Mandeville, this is one of the oldest and most established neighborhoods in the city. Drink in the history as you wander its streets.

Mandeville manages to squeeze a lot of culture and entertainment into a tiny package. Despite the small geographical size of the city, there is no shortage of things to do. In fact, Mandeville was listed as one of the top 100 places to live from 2004 to 2009 (well, they were snubbed in 2006, but let's not talk about it) by Relocate America. Ruby's Roadhouse is a jazz hall that has been in operation for almost 100 years, and today is arguably the most popular bar in town.
