City Guide for East Moline, IL

East Moline is widely considered to be the fourth but not the final of the Quad Cities. Today, there are actually five cities within the Quad Cities grouping: East Moline, Moline and Rock Island in Illinois, and Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries there was a lot going on in the Illinois-Iowa region. During that time, East Moline was added to the Tri-City area, which included Moline, Rock Island, and Davenport, and the region was renamed the Quad City area. Interestingly, a fifth city of Bettendorf was added to the Quad City area in the late 1940s, but the term Quint City wasn't nearly as catchy as Quad City, so the name Quad City stuck around even though the number of cities increased. What to keep in mind when looking for apartments with pools in East Moline, IL

Finding apartments with a pool in East Moline means cooling off from the summer heat, get-togethers, and more exercise. However, there are a few things to consider before signing your next lease.

Ask the property management how long the pool is open each year. Is it seasonal? Does the pool have a heat pump to make it practical to swim beyond summertime? You should also inquire about pool rules, capacity, and if unattended children are permitted. The size of the pool also matters. An oversized apartment complex with a tiny pool could mean crowded summers and frustrations when trying to take a quick dip.

Finding apartments with a pool in East Moline could also drive up your rent, but may be worth the trade-off. Assess the overall amenities of the property. Apartments with a pool may look fantastic on the outside, but inside the kitchen could need an upgrade or the bedrooms could prove smaller than you want.

Once you find the apartment of your dreams, enjoy an afternoon swim and get to know your new neighbors.
