Moving to Burlington

Want to move to Burlington? You're in luck, since it's not really the biggest draw for relocaters right now. Burlington has a good amount of both rentals and properties for purchase, so you'll probably be able to find a place whether you're looking to settle down in a family home or find a short apartment rental. When you're moving, make sure to get all your paperwork ready and in order. Gather your bank statements, tax returns, proof of income, and anything else the real estate professional you're dealing with suggests. Thus, if you find the place of your dreams you can put an application in for it right away -- then you'll be ready to settle down in Burlington!

Living in Burlington

Burlington, has lots of places for history buffs to enjoy here, including the Burlington Apartments, the Burlington Railroad Depot, the historic town fire station, and the Des Moines County Courthouse. If you like sports, the team has a professional Class A team -- the Bees. The Bees are a feeder team whose players eventually get to the Anaheim Angels. If you love cycling, you'll also find the Snake Alley Criterium fascinating. It's one of the bike races in America, and it's held on a 15-block long course, considered one of the most winding and curvy in the midwest.

If you want to get out of Burlington for a spell, the city is a stop along the Amtrak train tracks, and you can get all the way from Chicago to California on it. There is also an airport in town that flies regional flights, so you'll just have to hop on an airplane to get somewhere you want. Prefer wheels to tracks or wings? The Burlington Urban Service has bus routes all through the city, and you can also get a Greyhound or Trailways bus to get further away.
