Napili-Honokowai is a census-designated place located in Maui. Its serene setting in the Hawaiian islands makes it a perfect place to look for a condo for rent and you'll get to enjoy the pristine beauty of the Pacific and the beautiful, green rugged mountains of Maui. The town is only about 4 square miles and has a population of just 7,261 so if you're looking for housing for rent in Napili-Honokowai, you'll have a lot of space and privacy between you and your neighbors! It's a great place to live for anyone who appreciates the beach and enjoys swimming, surfing or one of the many other water sports that the locals partake in! It's home to the former Kaanapali airport which has been replaced recently by the Kapalua Airport, making it a convenient spot for people who need to travel in and out of town frequently.
If you're thinking about moving here and are in search of apartment complexes or one bedroom apartments for rent, your hunt should be a fairly easy one. There is a pretty high vacancy rate for the area and a lot of the apartments here are rentals instead of sale units. A lot of people use this area as a vacation destination so you're likely to encounter plenty of short-term rentals and landlords who rent out by the week or month. Many of these will have no problem extending the lease to longer-term arrangements for tenants looking for something more permanent. The area also has plenty of furnished apartments -- likely because it is so expensive to ship furniture and belongings back and forth from the mainland so people end up passing along their furniture to the next tenants. It's good to ask your landlord about all of these things before moving anywhere. Make appointments to see a number of places so you can get a feel for what the area is like and what you can expect in terms of prices and space.
What You'll Need
In order to move here, you're going to want to contact various landlords or use an apartments locator to find places to visit. When you go to meet with your prospective landlord, be sure to bring along all the things you need to get the application process rolling. This includes a copy of your ID, credit report, bank statements, pay stubs, letter of employment, references and whatever else your landlord might require. Bring all the paperwork in a folder so you don't forget anything. Oh, and remember to bring your checkbook, too! That's an important part of renting -- being able to put down a deposit check right away is the best way to guarantee you get the apartment of your dreams!
