Current day Whitehouse is a city of 7,913 residents who happily celebrate the town's history with an event lovingly called the Annual YesterYear Celebration. The event is held every June and celebrates the history and heritage of the city and its founding citizens.

Be sure to deck out your new digs with a bouquet or two from the nearby Whitehouse Flower Shop.

The Villas at Memory Lane: This isn't a dream. It's a place called The Villas at Memory Lane, and it is a rental community with plenty of apartment homes in Downtown Whitehouse. It is also conveniently located just up the road from Lake Tyler Marina and Concession Park. When the weekend rolls around, you will be ready and close for a day of fishing, hiking or just floating close the the shore.

Walnut Grove: This is the rural side of Whitehouse, which just means more room between you and your neighbors. It is not uncommon for most homes and apartments to have between two and six bedrooms, though if your heart is set on a one-bedroom apartment for rent, you shouldn't rule the neighborhood out. Situated between I-69 and Hwy 110, commuting is never an issue from this neighborhood. Also worth mentioning, Grove Club Lake is at the heart of the neighborhood and is a popular spot for evening walks and the occasional fishing spontaneous fishing trip!

Living in Whitehouse

If you love southern cooking, you had better adopt an exercise routine ASAP, because Whitehouse is full of down-home comfort food. Without a doubt, Rib Masters on State Hwy 110 N. has the very best ribs in the entire city. Once you've cleaned your plate, roll up the road a mile or so to Mamaw's Fried Pies and take home the famous apple or cherry fried pie. We know it sounds like a heart clogger, but that is why the residents are such an active and healthy bunch! In fact, residents can usually be seen water skiing on Lake Tyler, jogging through Concession Park or just biking through town.
