City Guide for Springdale, OH

The town of Springdale was known as Springfield for much of its early existence, and U.S. Route 4 -- better known locally as Springfield Pike -- runs through the middle of the town. Confusion with another city of that name elsewhere in Ohio (and resulting waits of up to six months for mail) prompted the city to change its name to Springdale.

Springdale, Ohio, is a moderately sized suburb of Cincinnati located on the northern edge of Hamilton County, Ohio. Springdale is an older suburb, founded in the early 1800s, but was known as Springfield up until 1850. Today, Springdale is home to more than 11,000 people. See more
