Palmyra is a borough in Burlington County, New Jersey, and has a population of a little under 7,500 and about 3,000 homes. The borough is situated right on the Delaware River, and is well placed for anyone working in Philadelphia and its suburbs. Borough Center: There's a high proportion of rowhouses and detached houses here, and a higher than average vacancy rate too, which might make it easier to find a home. It's really walkable here, although you won't find too many amenities like restaurants or shops as it's primarily residential.

Cinnaminson Avenue / W. Spring Garden Street: There's a good local park - Legion Field - with a baseball and football field, as well as a couple of tennis courts to enjoy. Milmarian Restaurant and Bar and Villaris Milmarian Restaurant are both well rated by locals.

Route 73 S. / W. 5th Street: Most southerly neighborhood bordered by the Delaware River in the west. If you've got kids it's a good spot as Palmyra High School is here, plus you'll have easier access to Philly via transport links to the south. Nature lovers will also appreciate the close proximity to Palmyra Cove Nature Park. It's a great spot for anyone looking for rental apts in Palmyra.

Living in Palmyra

As a suburb of Philadelphia, Palmyra is largely a commuter's community, with a lot of the locals riding the rail or jumping in their cars to work in the big city. Railway links are a great way to get to Philly and also up towards New York, while the New Jersey Transit also provides bus links on route 419 between Burlington and Camden.

Restaurants and social places of interest are plentiful in the borough, while for a wider array of options and something a big 'bigger' there's always Philly.
