Moving Season
While any time of the year is fine to look for a home in Turtle Creek, this is a community with all four seasons, and chilly winter months will find both fewer properties on the market and less people looking for a new home. Allow yourself about a month to check the local papers such as the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, online listings and of course the For Rent signs you'll only spot if you drive or stroll through the area.
What to Bring
Well, you'll want summer sandals and a winter coat if you move here. And to make renting possible, you'll want to make sure you have a decent credit report that your future landlord can access. Bring your ID, W2s, proof of employment and bank statements with you, in case you're asked to provide them.
Neighborhoods in Turtle Creek
With plenty of public transit available, you won't need a car to live in this pleasant community close to the Pittsburgh metro area. You'll find premier apartments in major complexes such as Hep Park Village and Churchill Square, as well as single family homes and all bills paid apartments.

Life in Turtle Creek
Are there turtles in Turtle Creek? Not any more. The creek itself was named by none other than George Washington during the French and Indian War. His journals made note of the creek and it's turtles -- something he'd probably snap a photo of and post to social media today.
The community has a landmark bridge, the Westinghouse Bridge at its borders. Its picturesque arches were the world's longest concrete arch span in 1932 when it opened.
Along with community youth sports like soccer and softball, you can check out the community's iconic old time pool hall, Pinky's Billiards, and pretend you're Paul Newman in The Hustler.
