Living in Forest Hills

Forest Hills is basically like living in the heart of Pittsburgh, which means you'll be taking advantage of its rich culture and entertainment. Everything imaginable is available, from all of the major professional sports teams, to zoos, museums and a conservatory. Restaurants abound, ranging from all of the chain restaurants that you're probably familiar with, to some of Pittsburgh's notables, including Drew's, Roman Bistro 33 and Simple Gourmet. For those who want to take in a more quiet atmosphere, the Arboretum and four other parks are available.

Many of Forest Hills' residents take public transportation to get to work, and are commuting to their workplaces. You won't necessarily need a car to take advantage of Forest Hills' many restaurants as delivery services are plentiful as are eateries within walking distance. Renters will find the neighborhood full of shops that they might find in a mall, but owned and managed by business owners providing personalized services.

For those that have a desire to participate in intellectual pursuits, Forest Hills does connect with Pittsburgh's academic community. Given the breadth and range of its university community which includes the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon and Duquesne University, there will be ample opportunities to experience open discussion and debate on topics of national interest.
