Hayden: This neighborhood is home to medium-size family homes and apts for rent, St Vincent Jennings Hospital, North Vernon Park and Hayden Historical Museum.
Life in North Vernon is pretty typical of small cities. Even though it's strategically located at the crossroads of Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Louisville, the city is engrossed in a world of its own. If you want to be assimilated into that world, the city's parks should be your regular hang-out. This is where local events and festivities are usually held. Or if you're a history buff, take the time to visit Annadale, Walnut Street Historic District, and Downtown Historic District.
If adventure is in your genes, you might want to venture out to Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge. You can go pick some berries, get up close and personal with reptiles, birds, and wild mammals, or go hiking and take a breather.
