This college town in northwestern Wisconsin sits about an hour and a half from St. Paul, Minnesota amid the “Driftless Zone,” a geographical peculiarity that, due to a lack of glacial drift, left the region with deep river valleys. But don’t be fooled by the “vast-nothingness” sound of the name.
