Moving to Sturtevant

Below is a closer look at things you should keep in mind when planning your move to Sturtevant.
Get Your Documents in Order
Even before you start shopping around for the right rental apartments, you want to make sure you have all the necessary documents in order. Most landlords will want to see your ID, proof of income, and banking information when applying for a rental property. You will also be required to provide your social security number so the landlord can perform a credit check, as well as contact information for your previous landlords and specific dates for when you lived at each location. Having this information readily available before you start looking for apartments or homes to rent will allow you to complete each rental application as quickly as possible.
Determine the Type of Rental You Want
You should also determine what type of rental property you want to live in when you move to Sturtevant. This community has several apartment complexes that offer one and 2 bedroom apartments for rent. Typically, these rentals are all on one floor, but there are townhouses and lofts available, as well. There are also some condominiums available for rent in Sturtevant, which may offer more amenities, but may also be a little pricier than a standard apartment. If you want something larger that offers more privacy, you will want to consider rental houses or a duplex. These rentals usually require you to pay most of the utilities and require a higher monthly rental payment than a typical apartment.
Start Your Search
Once you know the type, or types, of rental properties you are looking for, you can start searching for the right rental property in Sturtevant for you. It is always a good idea to take a tour of the entire village of Sturtevant to give yourself an idea of your desired location once you move to this village. This will help you narrow down your selection even further and make finding the right rental a little easier.
Preparing to Move
Once you have found the perfect rental property for you in Sturtevant, you want to start planning your move. You should find a local family doctor and dentist and have your records transferred to their offices prior to moving. You also want to contact all of the utility companies, including your phone and television service at least a week or two before you plan to move. This will avoid any disruption of service or the need to wait several days for them to hook up your services. You may also want to contact local movers in the area to help you move all of your personal belonging into your new place.
