Plover is a village of Portage County and is located near the center of the State of Wisconsin. It has had a population growth since 2010 -- however, it's still tiny, since the city now has just over 12,000 residents. despite its small population, it has a relatively big size. It has 10.78 square miles of area, of which 10.35 square miles is land and 0.43 square miles is water. It has a slightly high population density of more than 1,000 people per square mile. Although the numbers are slightly high, it is still not as densely populated as other cities in the US which have more than 3,000 residents per square mile.

Coddington / Meehan: This suburban neighborhood has some of the oldest establishments in Plover. The vacancy rate is slightly higher in this town than most other parts, giving you more chances of finding a place to settle in. Most of the units here are small studio types to medium sized apartments. There are a number of high-rise apartments and complexes as well. Almost all of the residents here drive their own cars and only a very small number of people carpool to work. The average time for one-way commutes is 15-30 minutes. There are numerous parks here such as the Pacawa Park, Royal Wood Park, Springville Pond Park and many more. If you like to eat out, you can find some real southern cooking at AJ's Country BBQ.
Porter Drive / Eisenhower Avenue: This neighborhood has tons of residential housing compared to the rest of the village. It also has the highest vacancy rate as well. Most of the apartments here are small studio types to medium sized with an average of 3 bedrooms. Most people in this neighborhood commute on their own, while others carpool to work. This area also has the shortest commute time of less than 15 minutes. Some of the famous restaurants here are Denny's, Golden Corral, Portesi Italian Foods, The Charcoal Grill, Lor's Market and Vietnamese Restaurant, Ranchito Mexican Restaurant and many more.

Plover's a pretty nice place to live, all things considered. However, the weather here can get really cold, so better bring a lot of parkas and coats!
