Moving to Brandon
Timing is Everything
It is important to take into account the timing of your relocation. Moving companies are usually busy at the beginning and end of each month. So if you're not going totally DIY with the whole truck-meets-stuff thing, check out moving companies ahead of time.
Do Your Homework
You may need to conduct background checks of the moving companies, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) is particularly useful for this purpose. Reputable movers maintain an impressive service record that is hard to miss. When you book an in-home estimate, the movers will dispatch a relocation consultant to conduct a visual survey. The consultant will calculate the estimates based on packing, weight and other charges.
What You'll Need
Don't forget to bring needed paperwork like identification, proof of income, W2s, and (of course) your checkbook. Make sure you have adequate funds in your account to cover a deposit and the first month's rent.
