In search of rolling horizons with pink sunsets and palm trees waving in the breeze? Need some respite from the cold, snowy north? Or maybe you already live in Palm Desert, CA and just want to find a nicer apartment. Whatever your situation, we’re certain the answer to a better living place lies within our apartment and rental house listings. From cool, modern apartment complexes with high-rise balconies, wi-fi, terraces and posh fitness centers to older homes for rent with lots of character that offer features like fireplaces and hardwood floors, you're sure to find a perfect fit here in Palm Desert. So let's get started!
Palm Desert is a sunny community in southern California famous for seasonal residents, retirees and “snowbirds” dodging the cold winters. It’s loaded with golf courses, spas, country clubs and other recreational outlets. The best part? You won’t find a soul complaining about the weather. Other compelling attractions include the world-class shopping found at El Paseo, the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert and McCallum Theater. Rest assured, you'll have plenty of options to fill your time outside of the house.
One thing to note about renting in Palm Desert is that, like much of California, apartments are pricey. Prepare your bank account for impact, as you’ll likely pay at least $1000 in rent and in addition to a significant deposit. The upside is you’ll get way more in amenities than you would in many other places. Almost all apartments are considered “luxury,” and it’s hard to find a place without a swimming pool, hot tub and upscale clubhouse. Typical rent hovers around $1000 to $1100 for a smaller one-bedroom apartments and about $2100 to $2200 for three-bedrooms.
Places such as the Regent Palm Desert are a little more affordable, with one bedrooms starting at $825, however two-bedrooms there are $1450 and your deposit will be about $500. For cheaper options, the Desert Fountains complex is perhaps the cheapest in town, offering one-bedrooms in the $725 range. Whatever you choose, you’ll have plenty in the way of creature comforts. Most apartments will have things like concierges, high-speed Internet, saunas, Jacuzzis, covered parking and inside amenities like air conditioning, balconies, ceiling fans, oversized closets, dishwashers and washer-dryers.
Oddly enough, condominiums and houses for rent can sometimes be more affordable than apartments in Palm Desert, CA. You can easily find a two-bedroom condo with about 1000 square feet for $700 or $800 a month. If that sounds like your cup of tea, check around Country Club Drive or Harris Lane. In this neighborhood you’ll find a lot of upscale features, and most places lie within gated communities, so security is a non-issue. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that many houses for rent in Palm Desert are vacation homes or short-term properties, so be sure to clarify you are looking for something to rent year-round.
Whatever you’re looking for, we’re sure you’ll find lots of amenities and sunny landscapes in Palm Desert. Good luck out there and enjoy your hunt!
