Midway City is a tiny little place in Orange County, CA. Sure, it's home to only about 8,500. But that doesn't mean that it's lacking in history or amenities! In fact, Midway City has an extensive history and a great list of things to do and see while you're there. Midway City first appeared on the map in 1891, when its first post office opened, despite people having lived in the area for years and years. Once it was founded, there were lots of businesses that cropped up in town, including Pacific Southwest Poultry Farm and Zenith Corporation. Today, Midway City is a mostly residential place, with a suburban feeling and easy access to nearby big cities, like Los Angeles. If you're interested in a small, suburban place with easy access to nearby big cities, you should consider Midway City. Not only does it have a bunch of amenities and also a vibrant community, it also has some lovely places to live in it!
Moving to Midway City
If you want to look at places to rent in Midway City, the first step is deciding what you want in a rental home. Are you looking at studio apartments for rent? Or, are you more interested in duplexes for rent? Do you want to live close to the highway so you can travel easily or do you want to live somewhere that feels more remote? Once you figure out what you want in your house, you should make appointments to see available homes.
When you go to your appointments, you should come prepared. Some important things to bring include bank statements, tax returns, pay stubs and proof of employment and income. Basically, you want to be able to apply for a house that you see right away, and you're going to want to be able to prove that you're the most financially sound candidate of them all! If you're worried about being financially sound, consider renting with a guarantor on board. A guarantor is someone who has more money than you, and they can guarantee that no matter what happens to the apartment, someone can pay for it.
Also, be prepared to put a deposit down on a place you like in order to take it off the market! Deposits can be as much as three times the monthly rent, so it will pay for you to spend wisely and save before your move. The entire moving process can be expensive, after all!

Southern Midway City: If you like to live near somewhere to walk your dog or take a run, this is the place for you. Southern Midway City is home to Park West Park, which is a lovely community gathering spot where people spend time all year round. Consider this part of town if what you're looking for is suburbia.
Living in Midway City
It might be hard to believe, but even in a place as tiny as Midway City, there are a lot of cool sights and a lot of great things going on. One of the residents favorite spots is the American Legion Post parking lot. Here, there is an original lifeguard's tower from Huntington beach; a strange place for a lifeguard's tower, but popular nonetheless!
Another popular spot is inside the legion, where there are huge, beautiful murals of World War II events. Also related to military history, the town's Stanton Park has a memorial that is dedicated to Vietnamese American Citizens. The town is ultra-patriotic, and there are lots of places where people can celebrate and learn more about American history and American military history throughout it! For people that like to spend time outside, there is Park West Park and Stanton Park. People can have picnics, play ball, run around and walk their dogs. For people that are into animals, Midway City is home to the famous and historic Midway City Feed Store, where people can not only buy feed for their animals but also animals themselves! Check this place out if you've ever been interested in geese, ducks, chicks, guinea pigs, rabbits and more.
Midway City is fun; but if it's not fun enough for you, fear not! Los Angeles, one of the world's most entertaining cities, is just a short drive away! You'll have to have your own set of wheels to get there, but once you hop in the car, you can be in the City of Angels in just a half hour (the two places are only 31 mile apart!)
