Did you know that Boyes Hot Springs is known for its, well, hot springs? It's true! The town has geothermal hot springs which sit right around 135 degrees all year round. Hot springs are known for their healing qualities and soothing nature.
Boyes Hot Springs is located in Sonoma County, California. Not officially a city, it is a census-designated area that boasts a population of 6,656. Boyes Hot Springs is quite small in area - as it is just over one square mile, with none of that being comprised of water. Sitting nearly at sea level, the average summer temperatures are around 85 degrees, and the average winter temperatures are just above freezing at 40 degrees.
Moving to Boyes Hot Springs
The stunning beauty that makes up Boyes Hot Springs is most definitely one of the appealing parts of living in and moving to the area. Nestled into wine country, the area has rolling hills, deep blue waters, and bright green vegetation. How fortunate for you that you're considering moving to one of the most lovely areas on the west coast.
Moving is certainly exciting, but it can also be stressful. Allow yourself plenty of lead time to find housing for rent in Boyes Hot Springs that is right for you. The rental market fluctuates and it can be hard to find apartments in some months of the year - namely May through August. So if you are considering a move during that time of year, even more advanced planning may be necessary. It would be best to give yourself four months of time in advance of your move to identify and secure the most ideal rental housing for your situation.
Certainly 1 bedroom apartments are more commonly available than 2 bedroom apartments in Boyes Hot Springs; but you can find both at Sonoma Mission Apartments, Mission Terrace Apartments and Valley of the Moon apartments. Additionally, there are some landlords who have houses for rent. Those can be snatched up quickly though, so if you find a home for rent that seems fitting for you, you will need to be prepared to act quickly to take advantage of the market.
Keep in mind, when you find rental housing to call your own, you'll start the process by filling out a rental application. It will ask for some personal information as well as employment and rental history. It is not uncommon for rental agencies or landlords to run background and credit checks. Often times they will also want references of previous landlords, or character references of folks who have known you for awhile. Lastly, the application fee will be between $25 and $50, so be prepared to have a check or cash available to cover that expense. Once approved, you will need to sign the leasing agreement. This will outline things like the terms of your rental situation - whether it is month to month or a year long lease, you should know what is expected of each party.
