The village of Sturtevant, WI has undergone several name changes since the area was established. Originally named Parkerville, after Mr. S. Parker, a businessman who settled there, the name of the village was then changed to Western Union Junction and then to Corliss, before finally being named Sturtevant after an engine company that operated at the railway.

Sturtevant, Wisconsin is a small village located in Racine County in southwestern Wisconsin. While Racine is one of the largest counties in the state of Wisconsin, the village of Sturtevant has remained relatively small over the years.
