Bluffdale has about 7,580 residents, and is located 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City. You might think this city is small, but considering it was actually once part of neighboring South Jordan and then Riverton, the residents here are simply happy Bluffdale finally gained some sort of independence since then. Northern: This area's main claim to fame is the Bluffdale City Park, but it's also close to Bangerter Highway, so it's convenient. Plus, the northern part of Bluffdale is by the southern part of Riverton, which has lots of shops and restaurants. Southern: This is another area that boasts a few parks, such as Jordan Narrows Park and Utah Veterans Memorial Park. So bring your ball and some sunscreen and get ready to walk to the park from your home when you move here.

Eastern: If you like the idea of making a quick getaway either north or south, you should live in the eastern part of the city, right next to Interstate 15. This is also near Spring View Farms Trailhead, Philip Gates Memorial Park, and Parry Farms Baseball Park, so be prepared to play outside.

Western: This area has mostly homes and hardly any businesses. So if you're on the hunt for 3 bedroom houses for rent or maybe need a rental apartment that will let you feel at home in Bluffdale, this is where most of your options will be located.

Living in Bluffdale

You should prepare to travel a few minutes outside the city if you want a lot of fun things to do, because there's not a ton of attractions located here. Sure, there are plentiful parks, gyms and homes to choose from. But locals have to drive a few minutes to surrounding cities to shop, dine out, golf or take advantage of other amenities that you wouldn't expect a rather small city to have.

For example, when you drive five minutes north to Riverton, you can easily find Riverbend Golf Course, Jim's Family Restaurant, and Thai Basil Restaurant, to name a few options. Go 10 minutes northwest to South Jordan to eat at Tio's Mexican Restaurant or LongHorn Steakhouse. You can also head 10 minutes northeast to Draper to check out Petco, IKEA, or Pirate O's for some shopping. And then there's Salt Lake City, which is a mere 20-minute drive north. Yeah, the main benefit of Bluffdale is definitely its amazing location, making it worth a look.
