City Guide for Watauga, TX

The city of Watauga, Texas, took its name from a Cherokee word that means "village of many springs."

Watauga is just 10 miles away from the center of Fort Worth, so you're never far away from some action. Although it's considered a suburb of Fort Worth, Watauga is also a city in its own right. The first settlers arrived in 1843 (although the area was populated by Native Americans before then), but the city wasn't officially incorporated until 1958. Today, the city has around 23,497 inhabitants (per 2010 U.S. Census data) but is still a fairly close-knit community. See more

What to keep in mind when looking for studio apartments in Watauga, TX

Studio apartments could offer the best of Watauga living at a less expensive price tag than larger units. Look for the best buildings near entertainment, dining, and public transportation or highway access.

Ask about the square footage of studio apartments in Watauga during your tour. Even a little extra space in another building can offer more room for storage or an additional chair. Consider the layout and what you can accomplish before you sign. You should have enough room for your bed, a small sitting area, and a dining table. You can always get creative and loft your bed to save on space underneath or install a fold-down table or desk that tucks away.
