Wilkes-Barre is a city of about 41,000 people in Luzerne County. Turn a circle downtown and you will find a near panoramic view of beautiful mountain ranges around you including the Poconos to the east and the Endless Mountains to the west. The Susquehanna River flows along the northwest border and a recent urban renewal plan has designated a “Diamond City Entertainment District,” replete with coffee shops, bistros, bookstores, theaters, movie cinemas, billiards halls and nightclubs. Attractions include the Wyoming Monument, Frederick Stegmaier Mansion and the Little Theater of Wilkes-Barre.

If you are searching for an apartment to rent, there are plenty of good choices these days that are safe and not terribly expensive.
