This meticulously restored 3 x 2 blocks square, of which Sylvan Terrace occupies the center, is one of the most remarkable legacies of friendly history and architecture. Sylvan Terrace was named after the Latin word Silva, forest, as it was the wooded alley leading to President Washingtons house. The original cobblestones and lanterns still resonate carriages and grandeur.
