Strathmore is a census-designated place in Monmouth County, NJ with a population of 7,258. It's not far from the city of Monmouth. The town only takes up about two square miles of space, but it certainly packs a lot into that tiny area. You can get into New York City very easily via the 133 bus route on the New Jersey Transit, so many people who live here commute to Manhattan for work. It only takes about 20 minutes to get to midtown without any traffic! There are a few different subdivisions in Strathmore, and though you'll definitely want a car to get around, you won't be far from local grocery stores and restaurants and other conveniences. Plenty of food options are near Route 34, such as the Japanese eatery Mahzu, Park Place Diner and Bliss Restaurant.
