North Haledon: A passage to freedom. North Haledon is home to Maynard House, which was built in 1802 as a stagecoach stop and is now a popular historical site. The house also served as a safe house and station along the Underground Railroad.
North Haledon is a quiet borough tucked away in the mountains and hills Passaic County. It's a nice secluded area away from much of the hustle and bustle that goes on in busier shopping districts in Bergen County.
