City Guide for Franklin Park, NJ

"The results of a new study are out this week saying that New Jersey is one of the most livable states in the country. The study has a margin of error of 100 percent." --Conan O'Brien

Originally called Six Mile Run, Franklin Park comprises a small area of Franklin Township in New Jersey, roughly two and a half square miles, and is in what is known as the Skylands Region of the state, at least as far as county lines and New Jersey tourism is concerned (yes, people actually want to go there. On purpose.). According to the 2010 census, there are over 13,000 people living there so it's fairly packed in. New Jersey, and specifically Franklin Township's relative proximity to New York City, one of the biggest and greatest cities in the world puts it at an almost instantaneous younger sibling-like disadvantage, but while shows like The Jersey Shore show some of the worst Jersey has to offer, and there is a faint, unpleasant odor from the state when you drive through it, there are beautiful areas that don't gain the same amount of positive attention and perhaps the denizens of New Jersey like it that way. What to keep in mind when looking for condos in Franklin Park, NJ

Finding condos for rent in Franklin Park is almost no different than renting an apartment in a big complex. The real difference is the ownership. Condos are owned by individuals within the same building. However, apartments in a large complex are owned by a single landlord or property management group.

Sometimes the price of condos in Franklin Park may prove cheaper. The owners are often moving onto a new home or leaving the city and just need someone to cover the costs. Apartment complexes are designed to deal with tenant issues, make repairs, and care for the property. Condo owners will still deal with repairs and upkeep but may need more time to address a problem, especially if they don’t live nearby. However, condo owners have a more vested interest in the property and keeping their tenants happy to reduce turnover.

Choose the best condos for rent in Franklin Park that meet your wishlist for budget, amenities, and layout. You probably won’t notice the difference between the condos and apartments you tour.
