Thanks to the Young Brothers Massacre of 1932 where six police officers were mown down, Republic spearheaded a national change in law enforcement procedures when responding to armed stand-offs.
Republic, MO has always maintained a fierce, pioneering spirit. Located in a remote section of southwest Missouri, in the Northern Ozarks, this 5.6-square-mile town of nearly 16,000 started out as an early outpost for immigrants moving West in search of homesteads. When the Battle of Wilson's Creek broke out three miles from Republic during the Civil War, a marketplace was set up in nearby York to supply the Union and Confederacy. Before the railroad, the only way to get to Republic was by horseback or covered wagon. After the war, the Frisco Railroad Company expanded track through Republic, but refused to build a depot. To solve the problem, Republic raised its own funds and built a station itself. View Republic City Guide
Finding condos for rent in Republic is almost no different than renting an apartment in a big complex. The real difference is the ownership. Condos are owned by individuals within the same building. However, apartments in a large complex are owned by a single landlord or property management group.
Sometimes the price of condos in Republic may prove cheaper. The owners are often moving onto a new home or leaving the city and just need someone to cover the costs. Apartment complexes are designed to deal with tenant issues, make repairs, and care for the property. Condo owners will still deal with repairs and upkeep but may need more time to address a problem, especially if they don’t live nearby. However, condo owners have a more vested interest in the property and keeping their tenants happy to reduce turnover.
Choose the best condos for rent in Republic that meet your wishlist for budget, amenities, and layout. You probably won’t notice the difference between the condos and apartments you tour.
