Did you know? The centerpiece of Four Corners is a beautiful park - North Four Corners Local Park! The park was opened in the mid '40s, but it's continued to grow and expand since its inception. Today, the park not only has sports facilities and ballfields, it also has a fully-equipped public kitchen available for rent.
Most people consider Four Corners, Maryland to be a neighborhood within the greater Silver Spring area. However, in reality, Four Corners is considered its own town, and the area has its own local pride, as well as pride in Silver Springs and the greater Washington D.C. area. Most people commute to and from D.C. every day. The area is bordered by I-495, or the Capital Beltway, so it's an easy area for people to travel into and out of. This means it's home to a lot of commuters. However, people here are also happy in their hometown, and there is plenty to do when they are in their own city and not traveling elsewhere. See more
Finding an apartment in Four Corners that accepts your pet may not be easy, but it’s very possible. Keep in mind, most of the time you’ll have to pay a premium for bringing your dog along in your new apartment. Some apartments require you to pay monthly pet rent, others will ask for a non-refundable pet fee or a refundable pet deposit.
While landlords and property management companies have varying pet policies, most of them limit the number of dogs you can bring to your apartment and include breed and weight restrictions.
If your pet falls under some of the restrictions outlined in the pet policy, it’s still worth asking the landlord if they can make an exception for your dog. Preparing a pet resume ahead of time could help you build the case for your furry friend. Make sure to include information on behavioral training your dog went through over the years and proof of vaccinations. If you can, include references from your former landlord and/or neighbors.
