Most people consider Four Corners, Maryland to be a neighborhood within the greater Silver Spring area. However, in reality, Four Corners is considered its own town, and the area has its own local pride, as well as pride in Silver Springs and the greater Washington D.C. area. Most people commute to and from D.C. every day. The area is bordered by I-495, or the Capital Beltway, so it's an easy area for people to travel into and out of.
